NOVI, Mich. (June 7) — Cooper-Standard Automotive Inc.´s Global NVH Control Systems Division received a Techpoint MIRA Finalist award in advanced manufacturing for its active noise reduction system designed for aeronautic and locomotive applications.
The award was presented during an event held at the Indiana Ballroom in downtown Indianapolis in late May.
To qualify for a MIRA award, which is presented by Techpoint, Indiana´s only statewide technology trade group, a company must derive the majority of its revenue from the sale of products or services through the advanced manufacturing industry. A winner must also demonstrate product and company financial strength and overall success.
Key considerations are positive financial performance and sustainability; impact on the industry and market; and accomplishments as an outstanding corporate citizen.
Cooper-Standard´s active noise reduction system, called ENVIsys, integrates advances in control theory, electronics, digital signal processing, acoustics, and vibration to produce cost- and weight-effective solutions that minimize the noise and vibration problems of multiple applications.
"We´re honored to receive the MIRA Award Finalist trophy," said Jim Pifer, president, Global NVH Control Systems. "This is confirmation that we are bringing cutting-edge technology that adds value to the transportation industry. We´re pleased to be recognized for these outstanding efforts."
