TUCKER, Ga. (June 2) — Michael Rouse, founder and CEO of the former Rouse Polymerics International Inc., has joined Lehigh Technologies Inc. as a special adviser to the company and a member of its Technical Advisory Board.
Rouse is a pioneer in the development and manufacture of high-tech, fine-mesh recycled rubber powders for the tire and rubber product industry, holding many patents in that field. His company dissolved in 2004 following a catastrophic May 2002 fire at its Vickburg, Miss., plant that killed five workers and injured seven.
Lehigh, a specialist in fine-mesh recycled rubber powders, said earlier this year that its Tucker factory will have an annual initial production capacity above 100 million pounds. Dennis J. Gormley, former chairman, president and CEO for Federal-Mogul Corp., now holds the same posts at Lehigh.
