GREENVILLE, S.C. (June 1) — Michelin North America Inc. is increasing prices on several of its product lines, as a result of its ongoing evaluation of market conditions and continuing increases in raw material costs on all of its products.
The company will raise prices on passenger and light truck replacement tires up to 5 percent for Michelin, BFGoodrich, Uniroyal, private and associate brand tires sold in the U.S. effective Aug. 1. It will also boost prices up to 5 percent on Michelin- and BFGoodrich-brand replacement commercial truck tires sold in the U.S. effective Aug. 1.
Earthmover tire prices will increase by 4 percent on replacement units sold in Canada, Mexico and the U.S. effective July 1, and agricultural tire prices will rise by an average of 2.5 percent for all replacement tires sold in Canada and the U.S. effective July 1 as well.
Retread rubber sold in the U.S. by Michelin Retread Technologies will increase by 4 percent effective June 1.
