MIDDLEBURY, Conn. (May 31) — Chemtura Corp. has appointed Robert Wedinger, formerly a vice president at J.M. Huber Corp., as vice president and general manager of process chemicals and polymers. His responsibilities will include the Royalene EPDM and rubber chemicals portfolio.
According to Chemtura Chairman and CEO Robert Wood, Wedinger has a "strong track record of global business transformation through strategy development, operational excellence, organizational improvement, and integration of acquisitions. He has consistently achieved double-digit profit growth in international divisions of large public and private companies, through a hands-on, customer-focused leadership style."
Wedinger most recently was vice president and general manager of performance materials and consumer products businesses at J.M. Huber.
His previous positions include vice president and general manager of pharmaceutical fine chemicals for Honeywell International (AlliedSignal), where he led a major restructuring, and as director of research and development of fluorine products.
