BARCELONA, Spain (May 23) — The International Institute of Synthetic Rubber Producers has appointed K. Ramamurthy, president of corporate development at India´s Reliance Industries Ltd., as president international for the year 2006-07.
He succeeds Daniel Compte, general manager of Dynasol Elastomeros S.A. de C.V., who now becomes the past-president international.
Ramamurthy is the sector head of the chemicals group, covering a broad range of products, including aromatics, caustic soda, acrylonitrile, butadiene and synthetic rubber.
In addition to Ramamurthy, who will also serve as the far eastern section president, the other 11 members elected to the institute executive committee for the year 2006-07 are:
Far East section: Yoshimasa Fushimi of Zeon Corp., vice president; Nobuyuki Takahashi of UBE Industries Ltd., performance review delegate
European section: Calogero D´Amico of Polimeri Europa S.p.A., president; Pavel Rodionov of Sibur Holdings, vice president; and Igor Golberg of Efremov Synthetic Rubber, performance review delegate.
Americas section: Chris Mudd of Dexco Polymers L.P., president; Dodd May of Lion Copolymer L.L.C., vice president; and Art Sullivan of ExxonMobil Chemical Co., performance review delegate.
Continuing to serve on the executive committee are Compte; Jacques Collonge of Eliokem Inc., treasurer; and James McGraw, IISRP´s managing director & CEO, assistant treasurer and secretary.
