NACKA STRAND, Sweden (May 8) — Rubber compounder Hexagon A.B., which expanded into North America in 2004 with the purchase of Thona Group´s U.S. and Canadian operations, is evaluating the possibility of putting a compounding plant in Mexico.
Hexagon disclosed the plan in its first quarter 2006 financial statement. It did not provide additional information on the plan.
The company operates compounding plants in Magog, Quebec, and Statesville, N.C., with combined annual capacity of about 40,000 metric tons.
