AKRON (March 20) — The Rubber Manufacturers Association´s General Products Group is sponsoring a management symposium, "Rubber Sourcing & Mixing, Improved Quality and Productivity Begin Upstream," scheduled for Akron May 11.
The symposium is designed for industry executives and managers who make decisions about their companies´ material mixing needs. The topics to be discussed at the symposium include facility architecture, custom mix, pre-blends, the future of mixing capabilities, rubber mixing guidelines and best practices, lab instrumentation and testing, proper maintenance and safety practices of mixing equipment, and training procedures for mixing line technicians.
According to a GPG press release, the symposium is part of the group´s continuing efforts to promote material consistency for improved process and quality.
