PAWTUCKET, R.I.-Teknor Apex Co. has named a vice president and three plant managers.
Gaines Hutcheson has been named vice president, business manager of the firm´s Rubber and Chemical divisions. He will be responsible for chairing both business teams and establishing the strategic vision for the businesses. Tony Catalfomo, Andre Savelieff and David Keller have been appointed plant managers.
Hutcheson joined Teknor Apex in 1980 and has held positions in several other company plants, including plasticizer manager and tread and custom rubber plant manager. He served most recently as vice president and plant manager of Teknor´s Carolina Co. facility in Fountain Inn, S.C.
Catalfomo is now plant manager of the firm´s Carolina Co. factory in Fountain Inn that makes vinyl compounds, garden hose and colorants for plastics. He joined the company in 1988 and has held various jobs, most recently as group leader in engineering, working on several electrical projects.
Savelieff is the plant manager of Teknor Color Co.´s Lodi, Ohio, factory, and Keller is plant manager for Teknor Color´s Jacksonville, Texas, facility. Both will be responsible for all manufacturing and support functions for the color concentrate, compounding and blending operations at the sites.
A 25-year plastics industry veteran, Savelieff joins the Pawtucket-based firm from McCann Plastics Inc., where he was director of manufacturing. Keller joined Teknor Color in 2000 as a process engineer in the color plant. Most recently he was production manager for the compound factory in Jacksonville.
