CARY, N.C. (Feb. 22) — Lord Corp. has launched a distributor network to help the firm in servicing and distributing its balancing systems and other technologies globally.
T.E.V.A. Ltd. of the United Kingdom; Ingenieria, Reparacion, Mantenimiento of Spain; Sistran, located in Portugal; Industrial Service Engineering in Italy; Ritec of Egypt; VibraTek Engineering Co. Ltd. in Turkey; Masibus Process Instruments, based in India; Albest High Tech Corp., of Taiwan; and Fukuda in Japan, have been selected as members of the company´s distributor network.
Lord also has added several new representatives in North America, including Holan Engineering, based in Arkansas; Star Tech, Louisiana; Power Products, Washington; and Primac Reliability, British Columbia.
The distributors and representatives will have the ability to sell, install and service Lord´s proprietary balancing technology — a permanently mounted system that continuously monitors vibration levels and corrects unbalance while a rotating piece of equipment is in operation, the company said.
Lord traditionally has sold its balancing systems only in North America. However, interest from around the globe in its technology prompted the company to expand its global reach to new markets, according to Andrew Winzenz, balancing product manager.
"As economies continue to grow and demand for materials such as cement and steel increases throughout Europe and in developing countries such as India and China, we have recognized the need to have local representation in these markets to better serve our customers," he said. "The use of distributors in these key territories gives us local support and expertise not only for the balancing products, but also for the industries and markets we wish to serve."
In addition to the current network of distributors, Lord is seeking additional distribution channels in North America, China, Australia and Eastern Europe.
