WILMINGTON, Del. (Feb. 16) — John R. "Jack" Lewis, president and CEO of DuPont Performance Elastomers will retire April 1, the company announced today.
He will be succeeded by Francine C. Shaw, who currently is vice president, DuPont Corporate Operations. She will start with DuPont Performance Elastomers on April 1.
Lewis, 62, joined DuPont in 1965 and has held a number of management assignments in the automotive finishes and polymers areas in the U.S., Europe and Asia. He joined the DuPont Dow Elastomers joint venture as President and CEO in September 2003 and continued in that role when the joint venture became a DuPont subsidiary in July 2005.
Shaw, 51, has served in a variety of business and functional management positions that have incorporated marketing, manufacturing, financial and human resources responsibilities. She previously led the DuPont Teijin Films joint venture and the DuPont Global Services business.
Shaw joined DuPont in 1977.
