NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Feb. 3)—Goodyear is launching new tires — under all three of its main brands—plus introducing a new entry-level tuner tire.
Goodyear officials will formally introduce the tires today to dealers at its annual meeting in Nashville.
Goodyear will launch Fierce as an associate line that will be an entry-level tuner tire as opposed to Dunlop´s premium tuner offerings, a spokesman said. The brand will compete in the same realm as Bridgestone/Firestone´s Fuzion tuner brand.
The tire maker displayed three Fierce tires at a dealer reception. They include the ST for vehicles such as the Dodge Ram, Ford F Series and Cadillac Escalade, the HP for passenger cars such as the Ford Focus, Nissan Maxima and Honda Civic, and the UHP for the Ford Mustang, BMW 330 and Nissan Sentra.
Goodyear kept its other tires under close wraps at the reception, except for one of the Dunlop introductions, which will be the winter tire Dunlop SP Winter Sport 3D. The tire already has been available in Europe.
