AKRON (Jan 17) — LWB Steinl has agreed to chair the 2006 International Rubber Molding Conference, April 4-5 in Dearborn, Mich.
Umberto Carchia, LWB-Steinl director of sales and service, will serve as conference chairman and is responsible for developing its content. The meeting will take place at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Dearborn, and be held simultaneously with the International Silicone Conference. Rubber & Plastics News is the sponsor of the events, and is organizing the molding conference jointly with LWB-Steinl.
"The International Rubber Molding Conference provides the real world information rubber product manufacturers need in regard to processing techniques and process improvement ideas," said Robert Simmons, Crain Communications Inc. vice president and publications director of its Akron business newspapers, who founded the event. "LWB-Steinl is a key player in this dynamic industry and will be able to add increased value for all our delegates."
Carchia said the event has generated a great deal of excitement in the industry during the past four years. "We feel we can help create a content program that would provide a better return for our attendees´ investment and increase the overall knowledge of the rubber molding business," he said.
Carchia is accepting papers for the 2006 program. Potential speakers should contact him at 724-733-1942, or via e-mail at [email protected]
"I would be remiss if I did not acknowledge the role Robert Matola and DESMA had in helping make the conference a success last year," said Simmons. "With DESMA´s help we were able to make the 2005 program truly a world-class event."
