GLENDALE HEIGHTS, Ill. (Jan. 17) — AHPC Holdings, Inc., which markets latex gloves for food service and medical examination gloves, has been awarded a U.S. federal supply contract, running Dec. 1, 2005, to Nov. 30, 2010. The contract includes both DermaSafe- and Glovetex-brand examination and specialty latex gloves in both powdered and powder-free types.
The federal supply schedule allows the U.S. supply agencies to pre-negotiate pricing for hundreds of thousands of federal customers such as the Department of Defense and Department of Veterans Affairs to streamline their procurement process.
"We are very pleased with the award of this contract. We look forward to providing the products covered in this agreement to the various entities under the federal supply schedule," said Alan Zeffer, AHPC president and CEO. "This is another milestone achieved and serves to underscore our sales and marketing strategy focused on regional and national agreements."
AHPC is the glove distribution subsidiary of rubber glove maker WRP Corp., which operates manufacturing plants in Malaysia.
