TORONTO—Biltrite Industries is making several executive changes following the retirement of President and CEO Marvin Sherkin after 43 years with the firm.
James Chung has been named chief operating officer of the Toronto-based custom mixer. Tom Lennox becomes vice president of sales and marketing, and Glen Spooner now is vice president of technical and quality assurance.
Maurice Lemieux continues as general manager and becomes vice president for the firm´s Findlay, Ohio, plant and operations.
Chung has served as chief financial officer, active in the company´s day-to-day operations and implementing procedures and best practices.
Lennox has been in the chemical and rubber industry for more than 30 years, having previously served as chairman of the Rubber Chemistry Division of the Chemical Institute of Canada, chairman of the Ontario Rubber Group and as a director of the ACS Rubber Division.
Spooner previously was chairman of Biltrite´s Quality Steering Committee. He was in charge of the research and development and lab and technical departments.
