The subject of the paper concerns the latest development in cold runner technology, comparing past technology versus the new development of valve gate cold runner systems and comparing various valve gate systems and pointing the advantage of such systems in respect of the durability of the manufactured products with such systems. Furthermore, it will show by an example how curing time can be shortened, volumes can be adjusted and with an additional software program of the injection machine, cascade fillings of the cavities can be implemented.
