PORTLAND, Maine (Dec. 12)—PIRA-Intertech has selected Budapest, Hungary, as the site of its ninth international carbon black conference, "Carbon Black World 2006," scheduled for Nov. 6-8.
The conference will feature 20 presentations by key international executives and technical experts from the feedstock supply, manufacturing, research and development and end-use sectors, PIRA-Intertech said, along with an exhibit area for companies to display their products.
In addition, the organizer is planning two optional pre-conference seminars to discuss markets for carbon black and the latest technical issues. A tour of a local facility is also planned for Nov. 9.
PIRA-Intertech described the conference as a forum for producers and users of carbon black, along with feedstock suppliers, processors and equipment vendors, to examine the material´s status and to discuss strategies for future growth and profitability.
PIRA-Intertech is part of PIRA International of Surrey, England, which acquired Portland-based Intertech Corp.´s conferences and publications business this past summer.
