TRELLEBORG, Sweden (Nov. 8)—Trelleborg A.B. has acquired the operations of Dunlop GRG Holdings Ltd. in Manchester, England, and Andre Structural Bearings in Burton-on-Trent, England, in separate transactions.
The operations of Dunlop GRG, a maker of flexible containers used in defense, marine and disaster relief applications, will be integrated within Trelleborg Engineered Systems' existing organization, Trelleborg said.
Dunlop GRG generates annual sales of about $8.8 million with 50 employees, developing and making large, specially adapted flexible containers for the protection and transportation of fluids, such as fuel and water tanks, Trelleborg said. These are used in marine operations, the defense industry and global rescue operations and disaster relief.
Andre Structural Bearings complements Trelleborg's operations in bearings for infrastructure projects, including bearings that protect against seismic movements. The operations will be integrated within Trelleborg Engineered Systems. The business generates annual sales of about $1.3 million. The seller is Silentbloc UK Ltd., a unit of Icon Polymer Ltd.
Financial terms of the transactions were not disclosed.
