MIDLAND, Mich. (Nov. 1)—Dow Chemical Co. and its subsidiaries soon will raise prices on selected specialty and polyurethane elastomers.
Effective Nov. 15, North American prices for Engage polyolefin elastomers will increase 10 cents per pound, Affinity polyolefin plastomers will cost 7 cents more per pound, and Flexomer very low density polyethylene will rise 10 cents per pound.
Pellethane polyurethane elastomers will cost global customers 15 cents more per pound beginning Dec. 1 or as contracts allow, Dow said.
The company cited rising raw material, energy and product support costs and the need to restore margins to acceptable levels as the reasons behind the moves.
