ROTTERDAM, N.Y. (Oct. 28) — New York Rubber Recycling L.L.C. has won a $500,000 grant from the New York State Environmental Investment Program to add cryogenic processing equipment to its facility in Rotterdam, according to company director Rick Kelley.
The equipment will be installed late this winter, and will help the company increase crumb rubber production to meet growing demand, Kelley said.
New York Rubber Recycling, a subsidiary of PermaLife Product L.L.C. in Guttenberg, N.J., also will spend $839,000 of its own money on the new equipment.
