TRELLEBORG, Sweden (Oct. 25)—Trelleborg has agreed to buy Chase-Walton Elastomers Inc.'s operations for an undisclosed amount.
Hudson, Mass.-based Chase-Walton makes silicone components for industrial markets, particularly aerospace, medical technology and biotech fields. The 50-year-old, privately held company employs about 110 at two plants in Hudson, and posts annual sales of approximately $13 million.
The U.S. business will be fully integrated with Trelleborg Sealing Solution's global operations, Trelleborg said. The deal is expected to be completed Oct. 27.
Buying Chase-Walton strengthens Trelleborg's position in important market segments with favorable growth potential, said Claus Barsoe, president of Trelleborg Sealing Solutions.
