BOULDER CITY, Nev. (Oct. 17)—Amerityre Corp. has selected Gary N. Benninger, most recently director of technology development at Magna International Inc. and its MEC affiliate, as its chief operating officer.
Benninger, who has a doctorate in physics, was in charge of identifying new technologies for auto parts maker Magna and MEC. He joined Magna from Becker Group, where he was chief operating officer of the North American operations during 1998-1999.
Before coming to Becker, Benninger was executive vice president of engineering and research and development at Magna, and also served as division general manager and vice president of product development. Additionally, he has worked as an engineering manger for Ford Motor Co. and as a research scientists for the National Aeronautics and Space Administration.
