BOULDER CITY, Nev. (Sept. 21)—Amerityre Corp. and Ace Products L.L.C. have postponed completion of a deal for Ace to license Amerityre technology for making solid PU tires.
Agreements were to be signed no later than Sept. 16, but Ace requested a postponement, Amerityre said, saying it needs more time to allow it to finish its assessment of how it can integrate products using Amerityre's technology into its own product line.
Under a deal signed Aug. 2, Amerityre was to license Ace technology for low-duty non-highway-use tires. The agreement involved Amerityre selling Ace Products equipment to make the tires, as well as the existing inventory of its closed-cell polyurethane Flatfree tires.
Newport, Tenn.-based Ace has three plants in the U.S., plus a new facility in China. These make a full line of semi-pneumatic rubber tires, solid and filled rubber tires and plastic wheel assemblies for light-duty and heavy-duty applications.
