SOUTH GATE, Calif. (Sept. 13)—Delta Air Lines has approved the use of Arnco´s SuperFlex polyurethane flatproofing fill on all baggage and cargo carts, Arnco said.
South Gate-based Arnco produces and markets polyurethane flatproofing products for off-road vehicles, including those for construction, mining, military, ground support, material handling and the lawn/garden industries. The company said Delta specified the use of virgin SuperFlex and is among the first airlines to "appreciate the advantages of installing polyurethane fill to reduce downtime."
Steven Ownby, Arnco´s marketing manager, claimed the company´s flatproofing material eliminates flats, blowouts or other damage that can occur with air-filled tires while protecting both operator and machine from vibration and jolting.
Arnco´s sales and technical staff is based in Chattanooga, Tenn. In addition to South Gate, the company also has processing facilities in Berea, Ohio, and Manchester, England.
