TOLEDO, Ohio (Sept. 7)—Dana Corp. has contributed $50,000 to the American Red Cross´ Hurricane Relief Fund to support the relief and recovery efforts stemming from Hurricane Katrina´s devastation in the Gulf Coast region.
The company also will make a second contribution to the Red Cross by matching employee and retiree donations made through Nov. 30 of this year towards registered charitable organizations supporting hurricane relief efforts.
"Dana Corporation, its employees and retirees are deeply saddened by the devastation and human suffering caused by Hurricane Katrina," said Mike Burns, the company´s chairman and CEO. "Our thoughts and prayers go out to all those who have been impacted by this tragic event."
Dana´s facilities in the region were not significantly impacted by the hurricane, the firm said.
