NOVI, Mich. (July 29)—Cooper-Standard Automotive Inc. has completed the purchase of a low-pressure automotive hose plant in Mexico from Gates Corp.
The unit, Enfriamientos de Automoviles S.A. de C.V. in Atlacomulco, generates annual sales of about $25 million in low-pressure heating and cooling hose, Cooper-Standard said. The terms of the deal were not disclosed.
"Strategically this acquisition adds to our core capabilities of supporting our automotive customers throughout the world. It does so in a manner consistent with our overall growth initiatives, by continuing to diversify our customer base," said Cooper-Standard CEO Jim McElya.
