West Pharmaceutical gives Ellers 2 top jobs
LIONVILLE, Pa.-Medical components manufacturer West Pharmaceutical Services Inc. has promoted Steven A. Ellers to president and chief operating officer.
Ellers, 54, started with the company in 1983, and has been president of the firm´s Pharmaceutical Systems bus-iness since June 2000.
He joined West´s international division in 1983 as a financial analyst, later serving as vice president, Latin America; vice president, Asia Pacific; and managing director, Singapore. Ellers then assumed global responsibilities as the vice president of operations and corporate vice president of sales.
He was named group president in August 1997 and senior vice president and chief financial officer in March 1998.
Rogers picks Larson as marketing manager
ROGERS, Conn.-Brenna Larson has been promoted to marketing manager for the Rogers Corp. High Performance Foams Division.
Larson previously was market development manager for the industrial and consumer market segments. In her new job, she is responsible for managing the marketing and development activities of Poron urethanes, Bisco silicones and Rogers polyolefin foams at two U.S. locations. She also has responsibilities for marketing in Europe and Asia.
She has spent four years at Rogers.
Toyo Tire´s Lorig gets sales manager position
CYPRESS, Calif.-Joshua Lorig has been named sales manager of performance and specialty tires for Toyo Tire (U.S.A.) Corp.
Lorig will take charge of maintaining the firm´s focus on its ultra-high performance product and sales segments in the U.S. He previously was sales manager of performance tires for the firm´s Southern Division, and will continue to be responsible for that operation.
He has more than 13 years of automotive industry experience, including time in sales at The Tire Rack Inc. He also worked in management and sales at an automotive company in Michigan.
Lauren International appoints Gray CEO
NEW PHILADELPHIA, Ohio-Lauren International Inc. has appointed Kevin E. Gray, a 22-year company veteran, as its CEO.
Gray assumes CEO responsibilities from founder Dale Lauren Foland, who retired in April after 40 years of involvement with the corporation, the company said. Gray previously served as Lauren International president and chief operating officer and president of subsidiaries Edgetech IG and Lauren Manufacturing.
Foland will continue as chairman of the board of the maker of a variety of elastomer products, including standard and custom-designed polymer extrusions, injection-molded parts, silicone and organic sheet, pressure sensitive adhesive systems, warm edge window spacer technologies and fluoroelastomer-based coatings.
In his new role, Gray is positioning the company for significant growth well into the future, Lauren said.
Werner becomes VP for Goodyear division
AKRON-Christopher T. Werner has joined Goodyear as vice president of manufacturing for its North American Tire business unit.
Werner most recently was senior vice president of global operations for GST AutoLeather Inc., a post he held since 2003. Before that he held senior positions with Hubbell Corp.
For seven years before joining Hubbell, Werner held senior titles at Black & Decker, becoming director of manufacturing in 2000.
He also held several management posts with General Electric Co., where he was employed for 11 years.
