TROY, Mich. (July 11)—Reliable Analysis Inc. said it will open China's first automotive material testing laboratory in Shanghai July 27.
Reliable Analysis (Shanghai) Inc. is fully equipped with mechanical testing equipment to support and coordinate between the firm's global and Asian automotive customers, said Ken-Jen Lang, president of the Troy-based parent company. It will test rubber, plastic and other materials.
The new facility includes two walk-in environmental chambers and several reach-in environmental chambers, as needed to meet the wide range of automotive testing conditions. They offer controlled temperature and humidity conditions, as needed for this rapidly growing automotive area.
The Shanghai operation already is supplying testing for some of the larger global automotive OEMs in China, the company said. The site is Reliable Analysis' first international location. It has two operations in the greater Detroit area, and a satellite facility in Greenville, S.C.
