GREENVILLE, S.C. (June 1)—Michelin North America Inc. said it will hike prices on replacement commercial truck, agricultural and earthmover tires by 3 to 8 percent, depending on the type and market.
The firm said it will increase prices 3 to 5 percent for Michelin- and BFGoodrich-brand replacement tires sold in the U.S. for directly billed North American fleet accounts, and Sept. 1 for dealer accounts.
Aftermarket ag tire prices will rise an average of 8 percent in the U.S. and 5 percent in Canada on July 1. Earthmover replacement tire prices will increase an average of 7 percent on that date in the U.S., Canada and Mexico.
Michelin didn´t give a reason for the increases.
