HOUSTON (April 8)—Kraton Polymers L.L.C. is raising capacity for Kraton G thermoplastic elastomers at its Belpre, Ohio, and Berre, France, plants by nearly 10,000 metric tons a year.
The company said the move is in response to rising demand in the adhesives, compounding, packaging, and polymer modification sectors.
Kraton's additional capacity for the high-performance styrene-ethylene-butylene-styrene and styrene-ethylene-propylene-styrene grades of block copolymer will come from debottlenecking.
