Goodyear's top technical manager and the CEO of Pemex Petroquimica will head the lineup of speakers at the International Institute of Synthetic Rubber Producers 46th annual general meeting, outside San Diego May 9-12.
``A Legacy of Progress...A Future of Possibilities'' will be the theme for the conference of the world's SR producers at the Hotel del Coronado in Coronado, Calif.
Joseph M. Gingo, executive vice president of quality systems and chief technical officer at Goodyear, will deliver the keynote address May 11. Also speaking during the first of two general sessions will be John Quinn, president of Excel Polymers L.L.C., and Robert Berkley, executive director of the Association of Modified Asphalt Producers.
On the following day Pemex CEO Rafael Beverido will be the featured speaker of the session. Other speakers will include Mark Fisler, vice president of Chemical Market Associates Inc.; Ken Goldstein, economist from the Conference Board; and Bill Veno, director of downstream, Cambridge Energy Research Associates.
Also during the meeting the IISRP will posthumously award Ernest H. Zielasko, Rubber & Plastics News founder, editor and publisher, with its General Award, and Hideo Takamatsu of Kuraray Co. with the Technical Award.
James L. McGraw, managing director and CEO of the organization, will preside over the meeting.
