CLEVELAND—Yannis P. Tsavalas has joined Eaton Corp. as vice president and chief technology officer.
In his new role he will lead the firm´s Innovation Center, and be responsible for research and development throughout the company.
Tsavalas previously was chief technology officer for GE Lighting and general manager of global lighting technology, GE consumer and industrial. He joined General Electric Co. in 1987 and worked in engineering and technical roles.
He also was GE´s general manager for global products and the general manager of high output products.
Tsavalas has held engineering posts with Intermagnetics General, the Shipbuilding Division of General Dynamics, the Ministry of Defense in England and Velvet Weaving in Athens, Greece.
