MIDLAND, Mich. (Feb. 8)—Dow Chemical Co. will hike prices for MDI products sold into the urethane market segments, along with prices for some polyols in the U.S. and Canada, effective March 1.
Dow will boost all prices for pure and polymeric MDI goods by 8 cents a pound. The increase is in addition to a benzene surcharge that Dow implemented Aug. 9 to address the rise in benzene costs.
The company increased the price of Voranol, Voralux and Specflex polyether and copolymer polyols by 8 cents a pound for all PU segments and end-use applications, the company said.
The boosts were prompted by high demand and tight supply, along with volatility in raw material costs, the company said.
