DENHAM, N.C. (Jan. 26)—Dow Reichhold Specialty Latex L.L.C. plans to boost prices globally for nitrile latex used to make gloves.
The price of nitrile butadiene latex for gloves will rise 5 cents per dry pound worldwide by March 1. The Denham-based company—a joint venture of Dow Chemical Co. and Reichhold L.L.C., which is a subsidiary of Dainippon Ink and Chemicals—cited continuing escalation in raw material and energy costs as the prime reason for the price hike.
