AKRON—Joseph Copeland, previously president of Goodyear´s chemical business, has become corporate senior vice president of business development, strategy and restructuring.
Copeland replaces Rick Navarro, who is working on special strategic projects, and takes on some of the strategic and restructuring duties previously held by Richard Kramer, Goodyear chief financial officer.
Copeland joined Goodyear in 2000, and has held senior posts in technical services and e-commerce for the chemical division and North American Tire unit, respectively. He also has served as director of finance for both the engineered products and chemical businesses.
Before coming to the firm, Copeland worked in management at Ford Motor Co. and Intel Corp. He also practiced law in Washington, D.C., for five years.
