WASHINGTON (Dec. 30)—Submissions for the Rubber Manufacturers Association´s annual Safety and Health Improvement Program awards are due Jan. 17.
The award recipients will be named at the RMA's annual meeting, Feb. 26-28 in Phoenix.
The program was created in 1981 to encourage and recognize member companies that achieve significant enhancements in workplace safety. 2004 winners in the excellence category included plants operated by Bridgestone/Firestone, Cooper Tire & Rubber Co., Goodyear, Pirelli Tire North America Inc. and Michelin North America Inc., among others.
