WASHINGTON (Nov. 15)—The Rubber Manufacturers Association has hired Scott Brenner, associate administrator for external affairs with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, as its vice president of government affairs.
Brenner, appointed to the NHTSA position by President Bush, formerly served as assistant administrator of public affairs with the Federal Aviation Administration. He also worked for the House Ways and Means Committee and for Reps. Clay Shaw and Bill McCollum, both Republicans from Florida.
The association said he will join its staff in early December.
Brenner succeeds Ann Wilson, who left the RMA in June to become vice president of government affairs for the Motor & Equipment Manufacturers Association
