AKRON (Oct. 4)—Pierre E. Cohade, former executive vice president of the global water and beverage division of Groupe Danone, has been named president of Goodyear's Asia-Pacific region.
Cohade, 42, replaces Hugh D. Pace, who held the post for the last six years and retired after 30 years with the tire maker.
Cohade has spent the majority of his career in international positions with Eastman Kodak Co., starting as a financial analyst in 1985. He moved through the ranks in Brazil, Mexico, the U.S., Singapore and Switzerland before he became general manager and vice president of worldwide corporate films in 1996 and assumed leadership of the Asia-Pacific region for consumer imaging in 1999. In 2001, he was named chairman of the Europe, Africa, Middle East and Russia region for consumer imaging.
In early 2003, Groupe Danone selected Cohade to head up its global water and beverage division, based in Paris.
