FINDLAY, Ohio—Cooper Tire & Rubber Co. has promoted James P. Keller and Dwayne E. "Dewey" Beach.
Keller now is vice president of competition and enthusiast products. Beach´s new title is director of product management.
Keller directs, administers and coordinates Cooper´s motorsport organization activities, including its Cooper-Avon racing program and Mickey Thompson Performance Tires and Wheels. He is based in Stow, Ohio.
Most recently Keller was plant manager for Cooper´s fluid systems factory in Bowling Green, Ohio, a job he took in May 2003. Before that he was vice president of purchasing, and held a number of managerial roles in purchasing for most of his 21-year career with the company.
Beach takes charge of global product planning and product marketing activities. He now leads the firm´s efforts in new product identification, development and commercialization.
Beach came to Cooper in 1971 and held posts in tire testing, and passenger, light truck and medium truck tire development.
He was technical manager at the firm´s Albany, Ga., plant when it started up in 1990. His last post was director of product marketing.
