DERBYSHIRE, England (Sept. 3)—Hyperlast Ltd. has formed a new partnership with Shanghai Carthane Ltd. to expand the firm's polyurethane range of products in the Republic of China.
Shanghai Carthane will become the distributor of the full line of Hyperlast's engineering polymers to the Chinese market, according to Paul Fitzgerald, Hyperlast's marketing manager.
The companies' longer-term objective will be to find local manufacturers to handle Hyperlast goods, the firm said in a prepared statement, but Fitzgerald cautioned that a final decision has not been made.
Hyperlast and Shanghai Carthane have a relationship that dates back to 1995, when the Chinese company became a manufacturing licensee for Hyperlast's Autohane microcellular elastomer, used in suspension systems of mass produced cars as well has high performance F1 racing cars, Fitzgerald said.
