LMI Technologies (USA) Inc. has released a two-page brochure describing its Selcom Laser Sensor SLS 6000 for measuring rubber and tire extrusions. Available in 19 models, the laser triangulation sensor can be used in high-speed measurement applications where other sensors are ineffective or sacrifice reliability and accuracy, the firm said. Uses include dimensional thickness and cross sectional profiles of on- and off-line extruded products, on-line thickness of green rubber and calendered rubber sheets, and finished tire bulge and dent monitoring in sidewall inspection.
