HANOVER, Germany (May 14)—Continental A.G.'s deputy chairman, Wolfgang Ziebart, is seeking to leave the group to take a position as chairman of Munich-based Infineon Technologies A.G., a company active in semiconductor and system solutions for the automotive and industrial sectors.
Ziebart, 54, has been with Conti since 2000, when he left BMW A.G. to take the reins of Conti's Automotive Systems Division, focusing on automotive electronics and electronic brake systems. One year later, he was appointed deputy chairman of Conti's executive board.
Conti's supervisory board is considering Ziebart's request, but has yet to make a decision. Infineon said Ziebart is to join it by Sept. 1.
