ROGERS, Conn.—Robert D. Wachob has been named CEO of Rogers Corp., succeeding Walter E. Boomer, who has retired.
Wachob has been president and chief operating officer of the company since April 2002, and will continue as president. He has held numerous posts since joining the firm in 1984, when he was hired as director of marketing.
Before coming to Rogers, Wachob was a sales and marketing executive with Beckman Instruments Inc.
Boomer, who continues as a Rogers director, joined the company in 1997 as president and CEO. Before that he spent 34 years in the U.S. Marine Corps, where he attained the rank of four-star general.
