FINDLAY, Ohio (April 14)—Mark Armstrong, vice president of Cooper Tire & Rubber Co. and executive vice president of its tire group, is retiring at the end of May after 26 years with the company
Armstrong, 56, joined Cooper in 1978 as a territory manager in the eastern region and has served in numerous sales and marketing positions. In his current post as executive vice president of the tire group he has been responsible for sales and marketing for the firm's global tire operations.
"Mark's contributions to Cooper Tire have been crucial in the development and implementation of our Cooper 21 strategy and providing direction for the tire group," said Tom Dattilo, chairman, president and CEO. "Mark's leadership in sales and marketing has helped Cooper grow market share, successfully enter the ultra-high-performance market and continue our envied position as an industry leader in customer service and dealer relationships."
