NORWALK, Conn.—Roger K. Price has been named president and chief operating officer of R.T. Vanderbilt Co. Inc.
Most recently he was senior executive vice president of mining and manufacturing for Vanderbilt. He joined the company in 1985 as vice president of its Rubber Department.
Price began his career with Uniroyal Chemical Co. Inc. in Passaic, N.J., in 1965 as a developmental chemist. Three years later he moved to Copolymer Rubber & Chemical Corp. in technical service and sales, working out of Baton Rouge, La.
He joined Wyrough & Loser Inc. in 1970 as district manager, based in Chicago, and moved to Akron in 1973 as district manager and vice president of the Akron region.
Price held a number of officer and committee positions with the ACS Rubber Division, and in 1993 served as the technical organization´s chairman.
