WYANDOTTE, Mich. (March 9)—BASF Corp. will increase prices for its polyurethane systems materials in North America by 6 cents a pound for bulk and pressurized cylinder deliveries effective April 1.
The price for the materials for steel drum packaged deliveries will increase by 8 cents, primarily because of a significant rise in steel costs, the company said. Those boosts also are effective April 1.
Rising raw material and energy costs is the primary reason for the increases, according to Joe Steiner, director of BASF's Polyurethane Systems business in North America.
