Adjustable StripIR series infrared heaters from Research Inc. meet a variety of uses including curing adhesives, heating shrink tubing, drying paint or ink, and forming plastic. The Model 4184 uses T-3 style halogen lamps backed by a ceramic reflector to provide heat up to 1,300°F. Model 5305 employs a tubular quartz T-3 style halogen lamp backed by an aluminum reflector to provide heat up to 2,000°F. A water-cooling system prevents the reflector from overheating and allows for continuous operation, the firm said. For more information, call Carrie Feldman at 952-941-3300.
