Henkel Loctite Corp. has expanded its line of cyanoacrylate adhesives with two fluorescent light curing models and two highly flexible versions. Low viscosity Flashcure 4306 and medium viscosity Flashcure 4307 are designed for the assembly of components where the ability to verify the presence of the applied adhesive is desired. Flashcure provides bonding and tack-free surfaces in less than five seconds when exposed to light, while a secondary moisture cure mechanism allows curing in shadowed areas. They are surface insensitive and versatile, offering good adhesion to elastomers, metals and plastics, the company said. Loctite 4851 and 4861 deliver good long-term performance on flexible substrates that must withstand vibration, impact and fatigue loads. The clear products are formulated to provide reduced hardness and improved thermocycling resistance. Loctite 4851 is a medium-viscosity, single-component adhesive for general purpose bonding while Loctite 4861 is a high-viscosity, single-component adhesive ideal for bonding porous and absorbent materials.
