MIDLAND, Mich. (March 2)—Dow Polyurethanes will boost prices in the U.S. and Canada for its Papi and Isonate pure and polymeric methylethyl diphenyl diisocyanate products by 7 cents a pound; Voranate toluene diisocyanate by 10 cents per pound; and Voranol, Specflex and Voralux polyether and copolymer polyols by 6 cents a pound effective April 1.
High raw material costs and volatile energy prices were the prime reasons for the increases, according to Richard L. Beitel, commercial director for Dow Polyurethanes.
The boosts apply to all market segments—including flexibles, coatings, adhesives, sealants, elastomers and rigid, he said.
