CARMEL, Ind.—Firestone Building Products Co. named Mike Gorey president, succeeding Dave Grass, who is retiring after nearly 36 years with Firestone´s industrial and building products businesses.
Gorey, a 21-year Firestone and Bridgestone/Firestone veteran, also will take the president and CEO reins of BFS Diversified Products L.L.C., the parent company of Firestone Building Products.
Gorey previously was vice president of finance and corporate controller for Bridgestone Americas Holding Inc. and chief financial officer of Bridgestone/Firestone North American Tire L.L.C.

I look forward to building upon our existing business partnerships and helping our customers gain even more confidence in the products we offer."
Grass, whose retirement is effective Feb. 1, started as a sales trainee in 1968 with Firestone´s industrial products business in Noblesville, Ind. He became president of Firestone Industrial Products in 1992, and took over as president of Firestone Building Products in 1998.
