WASHINGTON (Jan. 14)—Children could end up fixing tires instead of going to school if President Bush is re-elected, according to a 30-second political ad that won a liberal advocacy organization's nationwide contest.
"Child's Pay," according to MoveOn.org, "features young children working in difficult service and manufacturing jobs—washing dishes, hauling trash, repairing tires, cleaning offices, assembly-line processing and grocery checking—followed by the line, 'Guess who's going to pay for President Bush's $1 trillion deficit?' " Charlie Fisher, a 38-year-old advertising executive, developed the ad, which won the grand prize in MoveOn's "Bush in 30 Seconds" contest.
